Set at the southeastern edge of the harbor, Conch Inn Marina & Hotel is a casual, one-story hotel leased on a long-term basis by one of the world's largest yacht-chartering companies, The Moorings. A number of small sandy beaches are within walking distance. Its motel-style, midsize bedrooms are small, each with two double beds (rollaways are available for extra occupants). Bathrooms are small but neatly kept with shower/tub combinations. All units overlook the yachts bobbing in the nearby marina. On the premises are an open-air swimming pool, fringed with palm trees, and a nearby branch of the Dive Abaco scuba facility. The on-site restaurant and bar (Conch Crawl), is under independent management. Facilities include restaurant; bar; pool; coin-operated laundry; nonsmoking rooms; rooms for those w/limited mobility. Today's renovated, redecorated and redesigned Conch Inn Marina and Hotel compound offers just about everything a water-oriented traveler or yachtsman needs. Some of the world's top diving, beach-combing, bonefishing and cruising areas are within 15 boat-minutes of the Conch Inn, and many land-lubber "must visits" are within the same distance on Great Abaco's fully paved 100+ mile connecting highway. The Conch Inn Hotel is a short taxi ride from the airport and is conveniently located near the downtown area. Each room features 2 double beds, en suite bath, cable TV, air conditioning, coffee facilities, refrigerator, private garden verandahs, full maid service, and access to the Hotel's fresh water swimming pool.
